Mary Jo Collins is an experienced financial services professional with demonstrated expertise in fixed income investments including preferred stocks, hybrid capital, and corporate bonds. She has held senior roles at Wall Street firms including Imperial Capital, Royal Bank of Canada, Sandler O'Neill & Partners, Deutsche Bank, and Merrill Lynch. She was most recently a Managing Director at B. Riley Financial, where she helped establish the hybrid capital product offering within the new Fixed Income group.
Mary Jo joined B. Riley Financial from Imperial Capital, where she served as Managing Director specializing in sales of fixed income and hybrid capital to institutional clients including hedge funds, insurance companies, and money managers.
Previously, she was a Director in Fixed Income Sales for the Royal Bank of Canada. Throughout her tenure, she sold a range of fixed income products including hybrid and preferred stocks and investment-grade corporate bonds to fund managers, investment managers, hedge funds, and insurance companies.
Earlier in her career, Mary Jo was also a Managing Director at Sandler O'Neill and Partners and a Director of Fixed Income Sales within Deutsche Bank's Institutional Client Group.
Mary Jo started her career trading institutional and retail preferred stock at Merrill Lynch, working with the firm's largest institutional clients. She also held roles as Global Resource Manager, Fixed Income Trading Manager, and Managing Ditector in the Investor Strategies Group.
Mary Jo holds a BS from Douglass College, Rutgers University and MA from Teachers College, Columbia University. She also holds FINRA Series 7, 63, 24, and 53 licenses.
She serves as an Independent Trustee for Direxion, a provider of non-traditional ETF products. Mary Jo is also an Elected Trustee of the Village of Flower Hill on Long Island.
